A Few Ollas
These ollas are going to a local garden show next weekend. There is a local food growing movement afoot in our area and I would like to also develop a cottage industry that supports that movement and is integrated into it philosophically by being a local producer of ollas in addition to my own food production.
The ollas will dry a bit and firm up. Afterwards I will turn them upside down, put them back on the wheel and trim a nice rounded bottom. When they are dry, I’ll load them in the kiln and fire them to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit.
